Spring hares under the moonlight papercut

A delightful little layered woodland scene to spring into your home.  It features a family of spring hares playing under the golden moonlight. 
 
Four layers of papercut card have been arranged with spacers to give depth to the scene. Delicate papercuts hint at spring;  birch tree trunks coming into bud house a nesting bird and bluebells, daffodils, crocus flowers and unfurling ferns bursting from the ground form the foreground to the scene.
 
A moon using gold leaf gives a shimmering focal point to the scene. Once applied, the gold leaf  has been hand painted to give it an antique effect and a hint of craters.
 
The artwork is enhanced by a bespoke  handmade shallow shadow box wooden frame that has a beautifully rich dark stain to bring out the natural grain of the wood.
 
The frame comes with an integrated backboard mounted clawtooth hanger for ease of hanging but because of its depth it wil self support on a shelf. 
 
The external dimensions of the frame measues 185mm (H) x 140mm (W) x 20mm (D).
